Activists take foreclosure woes to Bernanke: Faith-based groups ask for more protection
A dozen community and faith-based leaders met yesterday with Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke and other Fed officials in hopes of forcing big banks to do more to prevent foreclosure and stop financing what is known as payday lending, the practice of charging sky-high interest rates for quick loans.
